03-09 Improvement Meme

It's not often I look back through my artwork over the years with the mindset of seeing where I've walked and been.

Many times I look back, I feel my style has somehow only moved along slowly. And some argue it's a good thing, some argue it's a bad thing. Nevertheless I ended up where I am now with my art style, and I'm grateful that people still enjoy it or find it appealing.

One of the things I somewhat came closer to terms with, is recalling comments from people about how I seem to delve into so much different things. So despite my style probably not developing extensively, I can be kind happy that I'm still developing with regards to learning different media.

- Over the years I'd used the traditional tools of pencil and eraser, and had inked at one time, too. And even from square one I had mixed both traditional media and digital - i.e. colouring.
- And once picking up openCanvas1.1b, a fair deal of my 2D artwork is produced in that program.
- There's wisps of sewing/tailoring, and clothing design.
- Light programming and Flash.
- 3D and Animation, along with 2D.
- Music and sound
- Effects
- Skinning interfaces.

I found that I try to sometimes overlap the skill sets to produce things that people may find interesting, like using 2D artwork but animating it in 3D space.

In recent years though, must less artwork has been produced due to projects getting more complex and longer, and also moving toward bigger, more complete 3D projects. One project in particular which is planned to be worked on throughout this year.

It might feel that I've learned a lot over the years, but I always feel there's more to learn. So much more.
