"If you cannot bend the water slowly and gently, you will not be able to bend the water sharply and quickly."
----- Finally finished rendering the rest of this clip of a waterbending test.
To those who aren't aware, Avatar: The Last Airbender has some pretty cool inspirations from the traditional Chinese martial arts, while watching an episode, I recognised some of the forms/postures they did in waterbending, which take their motions from Tai Chi (namely the Single Whip/Water Whip).
So it sparked my interest in trying to composite some effects into live footage. As a first quick n' lil test in effects within live footage (on a whim too), despite missing things like some tweaks, I'm pretty satisfied how it turned out.
And yus that's me doing the waterbending here, as an animator I feel I need to not only know animation, but also feel it sometimes. Some call it acting
Had fun, nevertheless. Hope ya enjoy. Take care, be safe TN
