Even if the egg was hardboiled I still considered it a sign of bad manners to have such a thing thrown towards someone whether they know them or not. However, if that egg happens to be one of less rude origins such as being filled with confetti or something of the sort then there's no harm done. As for health reasons, I'm told in my culinary arts class that a mere egg can be rather good for one's health as long as they practice in moderation. (Although to be honest, eggs and other meaty foods don't appeal that much to me these days. But that's just something I'm doing through, nothing major whatsoever)

More importantly, Happy Easter to all and may everyone be happy regardless of whether a holiday occurs or not.

See, at least you actually have real eggs for your Easter hunts. Here we just have the plastic ones, usually filled with poor-quality jelly beans or what have you.
